The securespend balance lets me see it, but the card just may not work with Amazon or something idk.All RushCard Prepaid Visa ® Card Accounts were closed on June 29, 2023.Īs previously advised in email and mailed account closure notices starting early May, we made the decision to discontinue the RushCard ® Prepaid Visa ® program. I looked at my transaction history and it said the 4 dollars right and another order for about 2 dollars less than my amazon order. Then I went to go spend the rest of the gc on Amazon and it did work, until about a day later when Amazon said payment revision needed, so I redid the payment information and the same thing keeps happening. I bought something on one website that has a paywall and that was fine, everything worked it was 4 dollars I believe. I'm currently on the line with customer service and I've been waiting for a open customer service person and it has been 25 minutes. I activated the balance on the phone and checked it on when it was supposed to be on and that website it nowhere to be found. My friend bought a visa gc for me for 205 dollars and he chose the SecureSpend card. Never had anything like this happen with Vanilla gift cards. Or don't? Because they'll reactivate it anyway? Lol. Lesson learned, I guess, is to keep track of your transactions on these prepaid cards. My most recent transaction was a Google purchase, and I think they saw this as suspicious. What's funny is that I couldn't remember either the original amount or a business I used it at, so I guessed incorrectly, and they still reactivated it. They asked me to verify the original amount on the card and to give them the name of a business I've used the card with, and they reactivated the card for me, and now I can check the balance. They told me my card security may have been compromised, so my card has been deactivated. It gave me the option to speak with customer service. I called the number on the back of the card to check the balance and the automated system told me there is a problem with the card. I was getting a "system error" when I tried to check my balance on their website.
